AHFC19 Public Announcement: Americans Help Fight COVID 19 (AHFC19) - We are actively working on obtaining our 501(c)(3) status, but these things take time and the need for PPE is urgent. We hope to be registered soon.
-
Our organization is coordinating donation and delivery of medical supplies, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and other critical supplies in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and shortage of medical supplies. We coordinate and collect supplies from donors and sellers. We identify and assess need based on reports and first-come requests. We track and deliver supplies to hospitals, clinics, nursing homes (“primary organizations”), and first responders throughout the DMV region based on need and hospital requests. As the situation continues to evolve, we are prepared to assist “secondary” organizations that also serve high-risk populations, such as shelters and food kitchens, based on need.
-
Our mission is to protect front-line health care providers and first responders as they risk their lives to save Americans by ensuring they receive PPE and critical supplies that they need.
-
We have partnered with the CSSEast Association, a 501(c)(3) organization, to further our joint missions of getting PPE to those who need it.
-
We are collaborating with other nonprofits and community groups across the region and country to make, procure, and produce 3D-printed and non-3D-printed (homemade, sewn, specialized sewn) printing face shields, specialized masks, fabric masks, gowns, etc.
